The SC LURES® Mustang is the king of the short positions - think short corner or short rigger - where it runs with a big splash, accented with a strong head wiggle before it dives deep below the prop wash, down into the strikezone. The radically-tapered Mustang often gets bit right on the bottom of it’s dive, so don’t be surprised if the band breaks and the rod loads up in a “snatch & grab” style bite without seeing a thing! The Mustang is an aggressive lure that features a full keel weight which assists in keeping it balanced and true. Try it with a single hook stiff rig or a 180-Degree double hook rig with the rear hook either stiff or swinging.
