GENERAL RETURNS

WHAT can be returned?
A product may be returned for exchange or refund (excluding any shipping charges) provided it is still in it's original, unused condition which includes the original, undamaged packaging for all packaged products.

Products which have been removed from their original packaging and/or have been used are unable to be accepted for return.

WHEN do items need to be returned by?
You must notify us within 5 business days of receiving your order if you wish to return an item.

HOW to return items?
Before returning your item, you should first contact us by email or via the resolution centre within your user account. If accepted, we will issue you with an RA (return authorisation) number which should accompany your returned item. All returned items should be packaged carefully for shipping. We are unable to accept damaged items for return.

Please note any shipping costs associated with returns are the responsibility of the customer. United Tackle Australia Pty Ltd will not be liable for any shipping or related handling charges associated with the return of an item.


CREDIT for returns?
If your return is accepted, our standard policy is to issue a credit on your user account which can be applied against future purchases. If you wish, we are also able to process a refund against your original payment method, less any shipping & handling charges.

 

WARRANTY POLICY

United Tackle Australia Pty. Ltd. (UTA) provides a ONE YEAR WARRANTY on all products sold through this website or through any of our Authorised Australian retail dealers. This warranty does not cover products purchased from outlets which are not authorised dealers or which are located outside of Australia. Our warranty is provided in addition to other rights and remedies that may be available to consumers under applicable law.

The warranty is effective from the date of purchase, to the original purchaser, for all products purchased in Australia through authorised dealers after July 1, 2013.

United Tackle Australia Pty. Ltd. will perform repairs or effect replacement, at their option, with no costs to you other than shipping charges incurred for sending the product to and from our Service Centre. This warranty does not cover claims arising from normal wear and tear, improper use or neglect or servicing. To the extent permitted by law, this warranty does not cover claims for any incidental or consequential damage resulting from or in connection to the product. This warranty will be considered void if it is found that the product has been subjected to unauthorised alterations, abuse or damage as a result of failure to provide the recommended care and maintenance.

Examples of normal wear and tear or improper use:

Some examples of what is considered to be normal wear and tear or improper use includes, but is not limited to:

  • General minor corrosion from saltwater environments
  • Ripped, torn or damaged lure skirts during use
  • Chipped, cracked or otherwise damaged skirted trolling lure heads (except for damage caused during shipping of orders)
  • Rod or blank breakage caused by "high-sticking", ceiling fans, car doors or similar.

Contact us via phone, email or using the resolution centre within your user account. Once a claim has been established, you will be issued with an RA (Return Authorisation) number. You can then send the product (at your expense) together with copies of your proof of purchase AND return authorisation number, along with your name, address and contact phone number to: PO Box 690, Runaway Bay, QLD 4216 Australia.

For products purchased through an Authorised Australian Retail Dealer -

If you purchased the product from one of our authorised Australian retail dealers, then you may return the item to that dealer for a warranty claim. You will be required to show a copy of the proof of purchase. The dealer will then act on your behalf to lodge the claim with us and advise you on the repair/replacment proceedure.
