FATBOY PRO 1431 [6"]

The FatBoy Pro 1431 is a scale-perfect replica of the actual homemade lure used by the crew onboard the Too Easy II in late 2018 to catch the largest Black Marlin in the world in over 50 years - a 1431lb (649kg) giant off Lady Musgrave Island, QLD Australia.  

This is not the only big fish to have been taken on this same lure, as it has been responsible for numerous XXL Black & Blue Marlin for the captain since he first molded it in the late 80's. More recently, the crew secured a 676lb Blue Marlin off the Gold Coast on the very same lure. Having profiled our replica off the exact homemade original that caught this incredible fish, we then tested the first production samples behind the same boat, running side by side with the original lure to ensure we had achieved the correct action and balance. After getting the sign off from the captain, the FatBoy Pro 1431 was then put into production, making this great lure available to anglers everywhere. 

The original lure is the 14" model, and we have also scaled a complete size range including 12", 10", 8" and 6" versions, all of which retain the brilliant fish-raising action of the original. The production models feature a carefully balanced keel-weight, allowing them be run with either single or double-hook rigs effectively. The FatBoy Pro 1431 is an aggressive Plunger-style shape, and can be used effectively from any position in the spread, though typically it's often used on the short or long corner in it's larger sizes, and makes a great short or long rigger lure in the smaller versions.
